iphone a go go
Hand in hand with the change to Apple from PC is my latest gadget - the iphone!
I have become well known for my love of the old, brick-like Nokia mobile phones, the kind of thing you can knock down a mugger with.
But all things must change and so after years of being fleeced by Vodafone, I have taken the jump and gone iphone with o2
Its a brave new world and I am basically in love with this piece of kit.
As with all things Mac it just works and does pretty much everything I want, firstly its a phone - this is the important bit and it works fine. Its also a camera, its pretty basic but I like that, its a breath of fresh air for me and way good enough for happy snaps and will even turn in a publishable picture at a push.
The iphone has GPS and Google maps, this is uber powerful when your on the road a lot. Also I can now sync my address book and diary in the most simple way.
Internet and e-mail all come into the iphone and its lightning fast if your in a WiFi or 3g zone and not too bad if your not.
Also its an ipod! and a games machine for when I'm bored waiting for the light or for a shoot to start.
Negative points are that its so nice that I worry about damaging it (I am not the most gentle person in the world) but then I just bought this thing called the Otterbox(anything with an otter in the name has to be ok). It encases the phone in rubber and plastic and makes the whole thing much more rugged and Roy proof.
People have complained about the battery but I'm not having any real trouble with this.
The iphone makes life a bit easier for me when I'm on the move and I am very pleased to add this item to my armory.
